GNi Hits the Mark with Music Mogul Inc.
GNi, a leading provider of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) hosting solutions, announced today that is has been selected by music community provider Music Mogul Inc. to host the history-making release of the world’s first online music virtual world that allows music lovers worldwide to perform for a global audience and potentially be discovered by an industry recognized talent team.
Music Mogul Inc. is the groundbreaking project of a highly talented team including game veteran Nicholas Longano and Grammy™ Award winning producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, who has worked with such artists as Michael Jackson, Madonna, Britney Spears and Mary J. Blige. This fully interactive virtual world delivers an immersive music environment with the twist of bringing the virtual world in to the live world through talent discovery and a competition to win a three song demo deal every 90 days with Mr. Jerkins’ Darkchild Productions.
“We chose GNi to be our infrastructure provider because of their deep experience in the gaming industry and the willingness of their executive team from the beginning to work closely with us while we were producing this project”, stated Nicholas Longano, CEO and Founder of Music Mogul Inc. “Our expectations are high that this project is going to create a substantial audience quickly through word of mouth and by its unique nature, so we needed a company that could scale quickly and provide an outstanding user experience” continued Mr. Longano.
“GNi is thrilled to be a part of this groundbreaking project to create a dedicated music community and unite the virtual and real world” said Philip Bouchard, CEO of GNi. “We are pleased that Music Mogul Inc. entrusted our extensive experience working with high expectation projects like theirs to insure a strong and successful launch on GNi’s well-proven infrastructure as a service platform.”
With the massive growth of online virtual communities, GNi continues to see increasing demand for high-performance, low – latency games infrastructure. With the traditional do-it-yourself model, virtual communities and game developers had to struggle to meet that demand via risky capital expenditure. IaaS gives game companies flexibility through the elimination of the need to purchase servers, software, data center space or network equipment.
